Western Beaver Jr./Sr. High School provides an academic program that meets the needs of a diverse group of students.

ADVANCED PLACEMENT COURSES:

COLLEGE IN THE HIGH SCHOOL COURSES:

• Calculus - University of Pittsburgh
• Statistics - University of Pittsburgh

DUAL ENROLLMENT COURSES:

• Courses offered at Western Beaver:
  - English 15 - Penn State University (Beaver Campus)
  - Psychology - Penn State University (Beaver Campus)
• Courses offered at the campus
  - Additional dual enrollment credits are available through Penn State University (Beaver Campus), CCBC, Clarion (online), and other local Higher Education Partners.

REGIONAL CHOICE INITIATIVE PROGRAM (RCI)

• Interactive Video Conferencing courses (IVC) - these courses are available on site provided by local school districts.
• Cyber courses - Students have access to a variety of online learning opportunities at the high school and college levels.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

• Blended-school offerings for credit recovery and enrichment
• Individualized consultation for PSSA Reading and Math
• Enhanced technologies including (wireless labs, laptops, networked resources, and interactive video conferencing.
• Excellent student participation rate in extracurricular activities

• On staff Gifted Coordinator
