Beavers Against Alcohol and Drugs (BAAD) was established in 1986 with only 17 members.
Recently retired Mrs. McLean started the program which has grown to include over 30 members
in grades 9-12. Since then, Mrs. Schwarz has taken over sponsorship of BAAD, which continues to
promote healthy, drug and alcohol free lifestyles. Members of BAAD take a pledge to remain drug and alcohol free.
Over the years, BAAD has sponsored assemblies, skating parties, Fun Days at Snyder and Fairview,
bowling parties, and many more activities in the district. In 1994, BAAD raised over $4,000
and purchased the sign that is currently outside the high school.
