All studets 7-12 are encouraged to participate. Practices are not mandatory but are encouraged. Practices for grades 7-8 will be held during Lunch A in Ms. Hawthorne's room Monday through Thursday. Any upperclassman interested in participating MUST see Ms. Hawthorne to work out a practice shedule or pick up practice materials.

Upcoming events: Center for Performing Arts at Beaver Falls High School on December 9, 2008. Any Intereste4d students grades 7-12 should see Ms.Hawthorne for details.

15th Annual Shakespearean Monologue and Scene Competition sponsored by the Pittsburgh Public Theater is in March 2009. Please see Ms. Hawthorne for details regarding the specifications of the completition and list of recommended scenes.

The World Events Competition will be held on January 23rd at the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit. The topic this year is: THE 1980S IN THE UNTIED STATES (January 1, 1980-December 31, 1989). Areas of focus will be NEWSWORTHY EVENTS, FIRSTS and RECORD BREAKERS INTERNATIONAL MATTERS, ENTERTAINMENT. Please see Ms. Hawthorne for further details. Practices will NOT be held after school, however, several reference materials are available in the libary, in Ms. Hawthorne's room and online.

Sons of the American Revolution Essay Contest applications, deadlines and details are available in Ms. Hawthorne's room. Deadline is quickly approaching!!!
