Loving the Oldies

      For the third nine week project the period eight service learning class completed a project called Lovin' the Oldies. The goal of this project was to make valentines for the residents at Outlook Poin Commons. For this project the class made roses out of hershey kisses and Reeses pieces cups. These roses were hand crafted by the students themselves. Also enclosed with these roses was a nicely typed up letter to wish the residents a happy Valentines Day. However this project got delayed because of weather complications and state testing. We completed the project and visited the guests on March 26, 2007. We successfully delivered the flowers and sang atriotic songs with some of the residents. It was a very enlightening time for the students and the residents.
