The streets of Pittsburgh are home to over 85,000 men and women who are hungry and do not have a family to spend Thanksgiving with. Chelsea Carmody, Josh Tomei, Shannon Koehler, Melanie Waters, and Mrs. Linder decided to do what they could do to help the less fortunate of our community. A soup Kitchen seemed like a good idea, so they contaced a local youth group, started making food, and filling 200 brown bags full of small necessities. The date was set for November 28, and the location was Shepherd's Heart Catholic Church. They served a hot meal to about 125 hungry people. They poured through the doors ready to take whatever was served to them, and thanked us repeatedly afterwards. Everyone who came got a meal, and a bag. Anything that was leftover was open for any of them to take home.
