The 4th & 5th Grade Band traveled to Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh to see the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. The symphony, led by pops conductor Byron Stripling, performed many styles of jazz music. Mr. Stripling presented history behind the music they played, including facts about the beginnings of jazz, Louis Armstrong, the Big Band Era. It was a wonderful concert - a real toe-tapping experience!
