On Monday, April 8, students from Mr. Grubbs' Astronomy class and the WBHS Ecology Club traveled to Woodcock Creek Lake and Dam in Saegertown, PA to observe the total solar eclipse. Using a solar telescope, solar binoculars, and traditional eclipse glasses, students had the opportunity to witness this rare celestial event. In addition to viewing the eclipse, students had the opportunity to tour the dam facilities, hike the Bossard Nature Trail, and complete some water testing on the shore of the lake.
